The most enchanting way to reach Butterfly Beach is by taking a scenic boat ride from nearby Palolem Beach or Agonda Beach. There are Fishing Boats that take 10-15 people at a time for the trip which includes Dolphin Sighting and an option to visit either Honeymoon Beach or Butterfly Beach. The boat will wait for about an hour for you to climb to the top, click pictures, enjoy a dip as well as hike to the rockier areas. They charge about 500 Rs per person and if you go private around Rs 5-6000/-. This option is suitable if you are in a 4 Wheeler and would like to visit the beach comfortably.

Trekking Adventure:

For the adventurous souls craving a more immersive experience, embark on a thrilling trek through the dense jungles and rugged terrain surrounding Palolem Beach. The trail begins at butterfly beach cafe where you can park your four wheeler and then you follow the map until you get to the beach. It will take about 30-40 minutes one way and through ups, downs with lots of sunlight. If you have a two wheeler the hike is much shorter as they permit you to enter private property and ride upto around 250 meters away from the beach. The advantage with this route is that you can spend as long as you want at the location, it is cheaper and is perfect if you do not have kids or senior citizens. Lace up your hiking boots, pack plenty of water, and get ready to embark on an unforgettable adventure.

  • Timing is Key: Plan your visit during low tide to fully appreciate the expansive stretch of shoreline and explore hidden caves and rock formations.
